Core capabilities
Most agency software work is not a system built from nothing. It is an application that already exists and has to keep working, connect to something else, or move off a stack that no longer receives support. That is the center of this practice, not an afterthought to it.
Application maintenance and sustainment
Taking over an existing application and keeping it running. Break/fix, security patching, dependency and framework upgrades, and incremental enhancements against a documented backlog.
Web applications and public-facing portals
Internal tools and citizen-facing portals, built and maintained to Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA so the delivered product passes accessibility review.
Legacy modernization and migration
Older applications moved onto supported frameworks and cloud hosting in staged increments, with the existing system running throughout the transition.
System integration and automation
Connecting systems that were never designed to talk to each other. API development, scheduled data exchange, and replacement of manual re-keying between systems of record.
Data engineering and reporting
Database design and remediation, data pipelines and migrations, and reporting dashboards built on the agency's existing data rather than a new platform purchase.
New application development
Full-stack development where no system exists yet. Requirements through deployment, delivered as source code in the government's repository.
How we contract
- Contract types
- Firm-fixed-price and time-and-materials. Comfortable with firm-fixed-price on well-defined scopes.
- Acquisition range
- Micro-purchase and simplified acquisition work, typically $15,000 to $150,000. Available as a prime or as a subcontractor to a larger integrator.
- Quote turnaround
- Responses to RFQs returned within three business days of receipt.
- Deliverables
- Source code, build instructions and technical documentation delivered into the government's own repository at each milestone. No proprietary runtime and no vendor lock-in.
- Continuity
- Every engagement is documented so the work can be picked up by government staff or another vendor without a knowledge transfer period.
- Accessibility
- Deliverables are built and tested to Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
